About Gerard

Gerard LimAs Managing Director, Gerard is responsible for the business performance and direction of Convertium. He is also the principal consultant for strategic planning.

In October 2001, Gerard led the transition of the company from Asiacontent Solutions (where he served as General Manager) to Convertium. Earlier in May 2000, he had joined Asiacontent.com as Director of Marketing and was responsible for brands such as CNET Singapore and Malaysia, Asia E! Online, Sports.com Singapore and MTV Asia.

Prior to that, Gerard spent a decade in advertising and marketing. He is at home with integrated marketing solutions including general advertising, direct marketing, loyalty marketing and customer relationship management. The companies he worked for (as a suit) include Wunderman Cato Johnson, Dentsu Young and Rubicam and Euro RSCG. He was also a media planner at The Ball Partnership and Backer Spielvogel Bates (as well as information technology manager – don’t ask) .

Gerard obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from the National University of Singapore with majors in Psychology and Political Science. He is married, drives his wife’s hatchback car, and is still hung up on Civilizations (IV now).
